For a brief moment, the airship dominated the skies over the First World War’s battlefields, cities, and seas. Huge, majestic, beautiful – and deadly. Not long after airships reached the ability to conduct long-range bombing and recon mission, fixed-wing fighter planes gained the ability to shoot them down.

Golden Journal No. 62: Naval Airships brings these gigantic aircraft to your game table, on gigantic pieces that suit their grandeur. You get 88 deluxe-sized pieces, each of them with an airship: 52 German Navy, five German Army, nine Italian, 11 British, three U.S. Navy, one U.S. Army, one Russian, five Austro-Hungarian, and one French.

Great War at Sea’s Second Edition already has some pretty extensive rules for airship use; we add a few more extra-crunchy ones so you can squeeze even more out of your floating gasbags. And because this is an Avalanche Press Golden Journal, we tell you the stories of those 88 airships. You can use them with any Great War at Sea game, to replace the smaller pieces in Jutland, War Plan Gold or Wine-Dark Sea (you should do this, because the bigger pieces are more fun to play with).
