Panzer Grenadier: Erasing the Bulge

In December 1944, Germany launched its last large-scale offensive on the Western Front. American troops gave ground but then held their lines in what became known as the Battle of the Bulge. The German offensive had failed, and for most books and wargames, that’s where the story ends.

But what came next? The Americans went on the counter-offensive, throwing the German back into their own county and smashing their ability to conduct a fresh offensive. This phase of the battle is what made it a decisive victory, and it’s this stage that gets so often overlooked.

Ardennes 1944: Erasing the Bulge is a scenario book for Panzer Grenadier: Ardennes 1944, based on these battles. You get 25 additional scenarios, in which the U.S. Army crushes the Armed SS party militia. But these are fanatics, and they’re not quite ready to retreat without putting up a fight.

You’ll need maps and pieces from Ardennes 1944, and only Ardennes 1944, to play these scenarios.
